Dogs Vs. Cats: Who’s Smarter?

Sometimes I hear people talk about cats and dogs, comparing who’s smarter. Obviously, cat lovers will automatically say cats are smarter while dog lovers usually say dogs are smarter. We don’t live with cats at home so I honestly could not compare myself to a cat right now.

You can’t say dogs are smarter just because they are easily trained and can perform tricks and various tasks for people. On the other hand, you can’t say cats are smarter either just because they are independent creatures and refuse to do things they don’t want to do.
